This work is a collage of ephemera which documents my working out of a creative rut; and by extension, the nature of an artistic process, thinking and making through creative dilemmas. This was accompanied with a small 6x4inch sketchbook that I worked on throughout 2020 (and continue to make work in) as part of my personal project ‘I’M SICK OF LIFE TAKING THE FUN OUT OF ART’ - the documentation of which is featured as part of this piece. This personal project was a space for me to reconnect with my sense of creativity; and I am now looking into developing it into a full body of work, putting into question the notion of ‘good’ art.
This piece as a whole is depicted in a state of flux, and was built with the intention to be a bridge between my previous ideas for a body of work, and my current developing ideas.
